Eat This Not That (2010)

April 3, 2010

I’ve been trying for several years now to lose about 10 pounds — and keep it off. I know that sounds very doable (compared to people who need to lose a lot more), but it has actually been extremely difficult. I’ve tried exercising every day, jogging, counting calories, the alli diet pill and other supplements, etc. All of those yielded short-term results, but the weight eventually crept back on.

Maybe what I need is a simpler approach, like the one advocated in the Eat This Not That series of books. The premise behind this series is that you can lose weight by simply making smart food substitutions at restaurants, the grocery store, etc. Sounds too good to be true, but a lot of people swear by this method, so I’m very tempted to give it a try!
